Encompass Advisors, Inc. was formed in 2007.  Matt took over as President of the company in January of 2025.

Matt graduated with a finance degree from SUNY Buffalo in 2010.  He first worked at Paychex in tax management until he started at Encompass Advisors in 2018.  He has both his security and insurance licenses. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER having obtained that designation in 2022. His goal is to provide comprehensive and independent advice on financial planning, investments, life insurance, estate planning (wills, POA's, and healthcare proxies), long-term care planning, education planning, and tax planning.  As a CFP professional he is considered a fiduciary and will only do what is in the best interest of his clients.  Matt will offer independent advice without the pressure of quotas, commissions or other stresses. Matt also has a separate tax practice and prepares individual tax returns for his client’s and their families.

Matt believes strongly in the financial planning process and that all financial decisions should be based on the client’s dreams and goals along with their risk tolerance, savings, expenses and life objectives.  A comprehensive plan is prepared with the results over different market scenarios and life events.  No stone is left unturned, and clients obtain the confidence in knowing that they are either on solid financial ground, or what changes need to be made to get there.

Matt lives in Fairport and has a wonderful family that he adores…Katlyn his wife, and two fantastic boys Austin and Brayden.  If you go to Wickham Farms in the summer, the Strong Museum, or the Zoo, you will probably run into him and his family.  They keep him busy along with hobbies like golfing, yard work, playing fantasy football and watching his beloved Buffalo Bills!!
